The story behind the studio.
I’ve always noticed the way places feel.
Growing up in Minooka, my sense of space was shaped by nature: open fields, woodlands, creek beds, and storms rolling in across flat land. But it was also shaped by people. Watching my mom with her hands in the dirt, weeding and pruning the garden. Sitting in my grandparents’ home where every corner held a story, and exploring the creek past their oak trees with my cousins.
One summer evening, I helped build a birdhouse. It was nothing fancy. But watching a pair of house wrens return to it year after year made me understand what it means to create something that holds life. That’s what I try to do now.
That’s the heart of Wolf of the Nook.
The Collective
Wolf of the Nook Studio is a design and art collective based in Minooka, Illinois. We create interiors, exteriors, and custom pieces that honor the full experience of living—through beauty, function, memory, and hand-built craft.
Our studio includes:
A designer, ceramicist and muralist (founder)
A woodworker specializing in custom furniture and architectural details
A metalworker/welder with a sculptural and structural focus
A trusted network of skilled tradespeople—plumbers, electricians, and craftspeople—who bring ideas into form with care
Together, we shape what you imagine. A room, a wall, a garden path, a story made tangible.
